This report describes a baseline assessment and characterisation of two Kāpiti coast beaches, undertaken in January 2019. Across all the indicators used, ecological health was rated as good to very good. Overall, the range of species and higher taxa recorded was typical of ‘healthy’ New Zealand sandy beaches
