Annual surface water hydrology report

This annual report provides information about the surface water hydrology
of the Western Wellington region, i.e. the area which lies west of the
Tararua and Rimutaka range divide and south of the Waitohu Stream.
The report includes data collection from the surface water hydrological
network and investigations carried out between 1 July 1997 and 31 June
1998.
Water quality and groundwater are not discussed in this document but are
the subject of separate Regional Council reports
This report presents the following information:
- Summary of the data collected
- Statistical analysis of the data
- Identification of data trends
- Comment on exceptional events
