Conservation status of reptile species in the Wellington region
Search in document libraryThe conservation status of the reptile species in the Wellington region has been assessed by an expert panel. Twenty-three reptile species were identified as being present in the region. Three species were assessed as being Regionally Threatened and nine as being Regionally At Risk. Recommendations for conservation activities for reptiles include the protection of known breeding sites from predators and developments, as well as survey priorities.
