The Regional Land Transport Committee (RLTC) wants to provide a safer
community for everyone through a transport system that achieves or improves
on targets of the national 'Road Safety to 2010 (RS2010) Strategy'. We intend
to re-establish the significant road safety gains made in the 1990s through a
renewal of nationally and regionally proven best practice road safety
interventions. This strategy sets out a vision shared by the region's key
agencies involved in road safety and sets objectives for the improvement and
promotion of road safety.
