The Dairying and Clean Streams Accord, which was signed in
May 2003, provides a framework for actions to promote
sustainable dairy farming in New Zealand. It focuses on
reducing the impacts of dairying on the quality of New
Zealand waterways and wetlands. This Regional Action Plan,
prepared by Greater Wellington and Fonterra in consultation
with the farming community, describes the implementation
actions that both organisations will take to achieve the Accord's
performance targets.
