The Wellington Regional Council has been producing a magazine called
Planwell for 27 years. The magazine was popular but we wanted to make
sure that environmental information was even more useful for different
groups of readers in our Region. We looked at a variety of ways of
providing information.

For schools, we decided to trial this newsletter.

A large number of students call the Regional Council for information about
streams, rivers, the coast, harbours, soil, air quality, waste management,
pollution, plant and animal pests and transport.

Through Planwell Schools we are providing information that students can
use in projects – and help them learn about their environment.
