This report investigates stormwater-derived chemical
contaminants in selected urban streams across the
Wellington region, and assesses the level of contamination
present in in urban stream sediments. It measures heavy
metal contaminants in the wet weather flow of several urban
streams, and concludes from the two investigations that
there is significant contamination as a result of stormwater
run-off.
