This report discusses the physical environmental processes
operating in the Hutt River, and at the Petone Coast. It
provides the basis for all the Opus technical reports on this
series, reviews the results of past monitoring, and assesses
the potential environmental effects of continued sediment
extraction from the river mouth. It also provides
recommendations as to possible conditions and monitoring
for any future sediment extraction.
