Hutt River Mouth - Sediment Input and Aggradation in the Lower Hutt River
Search in document library
The development of a sediment budget for the Hutt River is
critical to making an assessment of the environmental
effects of sediment mining from the river mouth. This
report forms part of a series of three reports which
investigate different aspects of the sediment budget for
the Hutt River. In this particular report, the amount of
sediment (gravel, sand and silt) deposited along the
river to its mouth is quantified using sediment
aggradation analysis of cross-section survey data,
and gravel extraction records.
