This publication reports on a range of measurements carried out
on the lower channel of the Hutt River, between Waione Bridge
and the Hutt River mouth, and along Petone Beach. It includes
river bed cross-sections; dredging extraction and deposition
volumes; harbour floor hydrographic surveys; aerial
photography; and beach profile surveys; and sediment ananlysis.
The report suggests that the beach and river mouth respond
largely to natural processes of sedimentation and sediment
transport.
