This report presents the results of additional information and
analysis relating to an assessment of sediment quality and
benthic community health at 17 sub-tidal sites in Wellington
Harbour that was undertaken in October/November 2006.
The 2006 survey involved the collection and testing of surface
sediment samples for particle size distribution, total organic
carbon, heavy metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons,
organochlorine pesticides and organotin compounds.
Samples of benthic (sediment dwelling) fauna were also
collected adjacent to each sampling site.
