This technical report provides a comprehensive summary
of the results of near-shore monitoring and investigations
undertaken in coastal waters in the Wellington region,
focusing primarily on data collected over the period January
2004 to December 2011. The subjects covered include
microbiological water quality, shellfish flesh contamination,
estuarine condition, subtidal sediment quality in Porirua and
Wellington harbours, and sandy beach ecological condition.
