This report presents the findings of the second sediment quality survey of Wellington Harbour. This monitoring was undertaken in late 2011 and included assessments of sediment grain size, total organic carbon, and concentrations of heavy metals, hydrocarbons, and DDT at 16 sites throughout the harbour. The health of the benthic community was also examined to determine if stormwater contaminants were impacting the abundance and diversity of sediment-dwelling animals
