Baseline monitoring of birds on the Otaki, Waikanae and Hutt rivers has been completed as part of an Environmental Code of Practice for Greater Wellington Regional Council’s Flood Protection Department. The information feeds into the Environmental Monitoring Plan, which acts as a guide for flood protection and erosion mitigation activities.
