Biodiversity conservation is one of our main purposes. We outline our vision and goals for biodiversity conservation in the Greater Wellington Regional Council Biodiversity Strategy 2016. These objectives are now included as measures in the 2021-22 Te Pane Matua Taiao Annual Biodiversity Report.
This report highlights some of the work we do to protect our region’s biodiversity. It also highlights key national and organisational strategic shifts. These shifts will inform our future approach to conservation, and help us create better biodiversity outcomes.
