Although measured carbon monoxide levels are very low throughout the region they are useful for tracking trends in emissions from petrol vehicles and winter evening wood smoke from home fires.
The national standard is no more than one 8-hour running average above 10 mg/m3 (or the 2nd highest 8-hr running average to be below 10 mg/m3). The national guideline is a maximum 1-hour average of 30 mg/m3. See Benchmarking & Resources for more information on these limits.
All values in mg/m3 except data capture (%) which is the proportion of all 8-hour periods in the year with at least 6 hours of data present.
